You Are Allowed to Want a Different Life

autonomy consciousness soul-led spirituality Jun 01, 2025

Dear You,

There’s a quiet shame we carry when we start to want more.
Not the flashy kind of more — but the soul-deep kind.
More peace.
More presence.
More meaning.
More you.

But somewhere along the way, you were taught that wanting something different meant being ungrateful.
That change was failure.
That choosing a new path meant you were letting people down.

Here’s the truth:
You’re allowed to want a different life.
Even if it looks nothing like the one you’ve built.
Even if other people don’t understand.
Even if you’ve worked hard to get where you are.

Gratitude doesn’t mean settling.
Loyalty doesn’t mean self-abandonment.

If your soul is stirring, listen.
The ache you feel isn’t selfish — it’s sacred.
It’s your life asking you to realign.
To come back.
To begin again.

You don’t need to burn it all down.
But you do get to pause and ask yourself:
Is this life still true for who I’m becoming?

And if the answer is no —
That’s not the end.
That’s the invitation.
